State the friendship frame early
For everyday conversation, say what you want the next few turns to do. “Platonic chat about a small moment” is more precise than “be supportive.” You do not need to provide private details to make a fictional exchange interesting; a made-up situation works for trying the tone.
Three prompts, three different jobs
The everyday catch-up
Keep this conversation platonic and light. Ask about one small, unexpectedly good moment in my day. Ask one follow-up at a time. Do not turn it into advice unless I ask.
Use this when you want to describe something, rather than solve it. If the response gives you a task list, correct the job: “Just ask about the moment; I am not looking for a plan.”
The creative detour
Let's invent a café with one impossible secret. Offer two possible secrets, then let me choose. We are fictional adult collaborators, with no romantic framing.
Use this for playful invention. Keep accepted details in a separate note if you want the story to continue. A new suggestion is not established history until you choose to use it.
The first-hello rehearsal
Play a fictional adult I have just met at a book club. Give one natural opening question and wait for my answer. After three exchanges, step out of the scene and suggest one clearer sentence. Do not rate my personality or claim to predict a real person's reaction.
The ending makes this a bounded writing exercise. An AI response is not proof that a real conversation will go the same way.
Redirect romantic drift without rebuilding everything
Try: “Keep the book-club setting and friendly humor. Remove pet names and flirtation; we are new platonic acquaintances.” If the setup keeps returning to a relationship you do not want, stop that scene and choose another framing or service. You are not obliged to keep a conversation going.
Finish with something you can use
Save the sentence you liked, the premise you chose, or the revised introduction. That is enough of a result. These are creative conversation exercises, not professional care or evidence that an AI understands your life. Keep room for the people and activities you want outside the chat.
