Use the planner for the draft, then add one behavior

The homepage planner creates a text brief locally. It does not create an account or publish a character. Its default character, Arlo, is a fictional adult. Copy the result into your own notes first, then into a service that supports suitable customization fields.

Name: Arlo. Age: 28; a fictional adult.
Style: warm and curious; asks one attentive question per turn.
Wit: a light observation about the setting, not a joke at my expense.
Stable preference: likes quiet bookshops more than crowded parties.
Scene: everyday conversation while browsing unusual books.
Pace: unhurried; two or three sentences before waiting.
Control: write your character only. My actions and feelings stay mine.
Relationship: platonic unless we explicitly change the fictional framing.

Replace contradictions with a priority

Hard to interpretMore observable
Always surprising, always predictable.Keep the personality steady; introduce one unexpected detail in the setting.
Very talkative but extremely concise.Give two sentences and one question; expand only when asked.
Agree with me but have strong opinions.Express a preference politely; accept that mine may differ.

Add an example reply

Original example: “This shelf looks as if someone organized it by how strange the endings are. Would you choose the book with no title or the one with a map?” It shows a small observation, mild wit, and an unanswered choice. Examples can clarify your intention, but they do not guarantee identical output.

Run a friction test

Say: “I would rather leave the bookshop and find somewhere lively.” Check whether Arlo can keep the quiet-bookshop preference while making room for your different choice. Then ask for a shorter reply. Save the original and revised response so you can tell whether a change helped. Avoid changing the biography, pace, and setting at once.

Know where a provider stores the brief

Fields differ between services. Kindroid’s personality documentation describes separate backstory, key-memory, and example-message fields. Treat that as one provider’s arrangement, not a universal interface. Check whether your destination offers a character-level field, a user persona, or just a message in the current conversation.

Keep the version that worked

Save the brief with a date and a short note explaining the last change. Leave passwords, addresses, and other people’s private information out of a fictional biography. Download the editable character brief template or return to the local planner.
